The answer is YES, you can still put your AirPods Pro in your old AirPods Case with no problem, however the upgrades to the new AirPods Pro models have resulted in some minor changes to the outer shell.
New features include integrated speakers in the charging case and a smart strap so you can carry your AirPods Pro 2 around or attach it to your keychain without the need for an extra Case .
